Four Quarterly Bills, or One That Says $99

Dependable resident agent service throughout Massachusetts — $99 annually. That fee covers the office address, scanning of legal correspondence, and reminders for state filings.

Massachusetts cityscape

Read this knowing who benefits from it. MA Registered Agent.org runs this site, sells Massachusetts agent service at $99, and would like your order. Everything attributed to Swyft Filings is their own published pricing, recorded in July 2026, and the only thing we do to it is multiply.

Speed Is Their Pitch and It Is Not Empty

Swyft Filings built its name on turning filings around fast and on walking first-time founders through paperwork without burying them in jargon. For somebody forming a company who wants a guided process rather than a form to stare at, that is a real product with real customers who are pleased with it. Nothing below is about how well they do that work. Forming a company and holding the agent seat afterward are two different products, and this page only concerns the second one.

$149 Buys Three Months

The number on the page is $149. The unit attached to it is a quarter. Annualized, agent service runs to roughly $596, and our review turned up no first-year reduction that softens the entry.

Quarterly billing does something predictable to how a price feels. A $149 charge reads like a mid-range annual rate right up until the second one arrives ninety days later. Four of them do not add up to less than $596 however the invoices are spaced across the calendar.

More Than the Annual Report Costs

Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.

Here is the local detail that makes the annualized figure land. Massachusetts charges $500 for an LLC annual report, or $520 filed electronically, and that sits among the steepest recurring entity fees anywhere in the country. Owners here already budget for a number most other states never approach.

An annualized Swyft Filings agent seat costs more than that report. You would be spending more to have somebody accept your mail than the Commonwealth charges you to remain a company at all. Ours is $99, which is under a fifth of the report, and it is still $99 next year.

There is a second wrinkle behind the report worth knowing. It falls due on the anniversary of your own certificate rather than on a shared statewide date, so nobody in your circle is going to mention the deadline in passing. Whoever holds the agent seat is the party the Commonwealth writes to about it. That duty is worth attention. It is not worth $596.

We are not claiming the floor, either. BetterLegal advertises $90 a year, nine dollars beneath us. Among published flat rates in Massachusetts ours is one of the lowest, it never converts into a quarterly arrangement, and the same-day scanning is inside the fee rather than parked next to it.

Leaving Between Quarters Costs Nothing

You do not have to wait for a billing date. The Statement of Change of Resident Agent/Resident Office goes to the Corporations Division at the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts free of charge when filed electronically, or $25 if you mail it, and no filing window restricts the date you choose. Line up the incoming agent first so the form has a name to carry and the record never sits vacant, then file. The step-by-step is on our change of agent page.
