Nothing below is about how well they do that work. Forming a company and holding the agent seat afterward are two different products, and this page only concerns the second one.

$149 Buys Three Months

The number on the page is $149. The unit attached to it is a quarter. Annualized, agent service runs to roughly $596, and our review turned up no first-year reduction that softens the entry.

Quarterly billing does something predictable to how a price feels. A $149 charge reads like a mid-range annual rate right up until the second one arrives ninety days later. Four of them do not add up to less than $596 however the invoices are spaced across the calendar.

More Than the Annual Report Costs

Here is the local detail that makes the annualized figure land. Massachusetts charges $500 for an LLC annual report, or $520 filed electronically, and that sits among the steepest recurring entity fees anywhere in the country. Owners here already budget for a number most other states never approach.

An annualized Swyft Filings agent seat costs more than that report. You would be spending more to have somebody accept your mail than the Commonwealth charges you to remain a company at all. Ours is $99, which is under a fifth of the report, and it is still $99 next year.

There is a second wrinkle behind the report worth knowing.
